Gaias Kreations is an art studio and Eco-boutique which is owned by two local artists, Karen and Sandrine.

The shop is named after the Minoan goddess, Gaia and is situated in Plaka, Elounda, on the main road towards the beach, across the road from Delphini restaurant.

The Eco- boutique stocks international eco- friendly designers, with a range of chic organic and bamboo clothing for babies, children, adults and a funky maternity collection. Fair Trade and recycled handmade jewellery and organic skin care can also be found in their eco store.

None of the clothing has been produced using harmful and toxic pesticides, chemicals or dyes and is mostly fair trade, which means putting people and the environment central to its trading. None of the clothing has been produced involving sweat shops or child labour unlike the conventional garment industry. Indeed much of the clothing and jewellery supports educational projects and disadvantaged groups.

The clothing is handmade, either by Karen and Sandrine or by local and world artisans, using traditional crafts, knitting, weaving, block printing and embroidery.

The gallery stocks innovative art using recycled materials, home decor, mosaic, recycled furniture, photography and paintings of local images.

Karen and Sandrine are also available on a commission based service to make unique designs for your home business or for that special outfit.

We care about our environment, so please do not expect a plastic bag with your purchase, we only provide recycled paper bags.
