Schisma is the true name for the area most people would know as the centre of Elounda. It is home to an abundance of shops, bars, restaurants and shops aswell as being the heart of community activity around the harbour and square

Views straight up the bay to the island of Spinalonga can be glimpsed

The road enters the centre, near where the small harbour, car and coach parks and main beach are all located

The centre has many bars located on the square and close to the harbour

The quayside behind the square is where visitors will find the many trip boats moored up

The square itself is located between the main road and the quayside in the centre

The harbour is home to many local fishing boats. Almost next to it is the main beach
