Easter Weekend 2009 - Friday 17th - Sunday 19th April

Friday - Saturday Night - Sunday

As usual, the Easter weekend saw hundreds turn out in the village for Friday night's procession of the icon plus the service, midnight celebration and burning as Saturday evening became Easter Sunday. The fireworks were plentiful as families headed home for the traditional maygaritsa soup. Sunday's weather was warm and clear ensuring that barbeques were going throughout the day in all the local villages.
