'Groove on the Water' - Thursday 24th July 2008

The first 'Groove on the Water' - onboard Alanto Tours - took place on the 24th July 2008 with the DDC aka DJ Sam and MC / Singer, Mike Dread. After a DJ'ed cruise up the coast to Plaka and Spinalonga, the boat then headed back down the bay with Mike singing. A run back down the bay and the engines were stopped for a great set from Mike. Lots of dancing, more DJ'ed cruising around and a few songs from Mike on guitar and it was time to head back into shore where everybody disembarked to their favourite bars. One thing that we learnt from this first run was that those of us who didn't bring long sleeves, and not dancing, found out that the nighttime breezes can be chilly out on the seas, even in July. Top tip - dance or bring long sleeves, just in case the wind kicks up! It was great to see so many of our friends onboard and we hope to see you out there again, very soon.
