Ad supported Free Hosting accounts are normally set up on our UK based servers on the tier 1 PIPEX network. Please remember that no email or telephone technical support or advice is offered with these accounts. Problems with accounts should be reported via the 'Tech Support' forum.

You require an invitation code (BOX77INVITE#) to use our free webspace. Genuine local residents and business who have purchased a domain name may get a free webspace invitation code by attending one of our social Get Togethers or dropping in on an informal 'Net and Business' meeting focussed on web development and online advertising. > Will I have to show ads on my site if I use free hosting?

We require that free webspace users show a small banner for our Community Freehost services and those without a 'non-profit' concession additionally show a single 468x60 network ad on their frontpage. Accounts that fail to display these banners are liable to closure without notice. If you start to generate substantial and quality traffic from outside our network then you may be invited to show customised adverts on your site and receive a publisher's revenue share. You are under no obligation to show these additional network and third party ads

> Are there any limits on the accounts?

There is a substantial standard allowance of 50 MB disk space and 5000MB (approx 5GB) data transfer per month (enough for around 100,000 page views per month) with the following restrictions
No excessive video or audio files or other files intended to be embedded and played offsite shall be hosted in your account.
No databases or scripts - only static sites are permitted. MySQL / dynamic sites / CGI / scripting is not permitted on these accounts.
No email - You must set MX records at the name's registrar for mail routing if required

Our content and marketing partners, site admins and our company's approved freelancers still have access to subdomain based free hosting as they require and non commercial users will be able to sign up via a friend invite or social get together. Business sites and non contributing users, however, will be required to use a domain name with their free hosting account.
